ROM: ROYAL ONTARIO MUSEUM

I went to the ROM: Royal Ontario Museum with my friends for the first time a few days ago! Did you know it's free with proof of student status on Tuesdays? I didn't know what to expect, I knew the museum was pretty big but I didn't know I would have as much fun as I did!
I took over 150 pictures, but I figured I should pick a few and show you guys instead of spamming you with too many unnecessary pics!
**Side Note: I'm finally done summer school which means I don't have too much to stress over (besides my final marks). It's officially summer for me for 2 weeks before heading back to school (again) ): This doesn't mean I should have an excuse to drink every night.

 Outfit: Stripped Shirt - Urban Outfitters // Ruffled Shorts - Hollister // Bag - H&M // Shades - Forever 21 //

My favourite section in the entire museum was definitely looking at cool dinosaur fossils!

BROWNSTONE BISTRO && CHATIME

This was my last time meeting up with my best friend before she leaves  the country for a very long time. ): I let her choose the restaurant for our lunch date and we both settled for Brownstone Bistro: Bar & Grill. - 603 Yonge Street - The restaurant isn't too far from Bay Station, we walked from Eaton Centre to get to the restaurant.

I enjoyed the atmosphere of the restaurant. The waitress was very nice since we were waiting on another friend, luckily it wasn't busy. The design is very simple and if the lights were dimmed, it'd have a very nice romantic feel.
The menu consisted mostly of sandwiches, pastas, pizzas, and greens. I'm not a fan of ordering sandwiches at restaurants, so I settled for pasta.

I ordered: Fresh Linguini with salmon, tomato, basil, and capers in a while win al olio
Overal the pasta was alright. It was too greasy and the closer you got to finishing the plate the more salty it was, adding salmon did help make it less salty. The portions were perfect and I did enjoy the salmon chunks the most.
I've had a few friends hype Chatime, a bubble tea store before, so I decided to finally try it! It really is delicious but maybe too sweet. I ordered matcha red bean bubble tea.
The store is really small and but it was very busy!

Enjoy! :) Summer is almost over !

[17.08.13]

I'm going to stop apologizing so often if I forget/take a very long time to form a new blog post. My excuse? I didn't bring my camera with me back to my parent's house and there was nothing exciting worth blogging. Today I had a 10 hour shift at work and this is what I wore:
To be honest, I am somewhat a trend-follwer (depending on if I like it or not) and the whole "Tie your shirt to your waist"/ grungy trend is re-appearing this fall. This was something I use to do as a kid with a sweater when I needed to hold onto it. Now it's back again, but this time it's fashionable ! I'd like to invest in a plaid shirt soon, but my broke ass prevents me from purchasing one from a decent retail store. So, time for thrift shopping soon!

Over the weekend I did cave and purchased a pair of these classic comfy Roots sweat pants that I never owned. I purchased it from an outlet store (which means it was cheaper than normal). Since Roots was celebrating it's 40th anniversary, all sweats were an extra 30% off! Mine ended up being $30, which is half of what it's normally worth! They're an amazing quality and I can't help but wear it around the house everyday.
I went on a mini thrifting trip with my mom the other day, but since we were in a rush, I only managed to look at the book section and I ended up picking up the Lauren Conrad book for $5. Not sure how to feel about it yet, and I have no clue what to expect from it but I did hear it was an easy read!
I am currently reading "The Happiness Project", I personally recommend it to everyone, especially people who are like me and who do so much during their day without having the time to sit back and think about what just happened. This book has given me lots of different mixed feelings and has taught me to think differently. It's definitely a great experience to open your eyes more and think about what really makes you happy.
Enjoy !

THE DISTILLERY DISTRICT

[12.08.13]:
Today my friends and I ventured off to the Distillery District; a historic and entertainment precinct located east of Downtown Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It contains numerous cafés, restaurants, and shops housed within heritage buildings of the former Gooderham and Worts Distillery.
This is my first time in this part of Toronto, and the European styled buildings and cute small cafes made me feel like I was out of town!

We went inside SOMA; a chocolate maker and bakery. I ended up purchasing Amaretti cookies, It tasted delicious!

I'm such a sweet tooth. My breakfast consists of s'mores, it was really delicious and surprisingly not as sweet as expected.

Later in the evening we walked to Spadina Street (Chinatown Area) and went for some dessert!
